I never set any kind of time scale or budget to do the project, and people have said why didn't you get people in to do it, would have been done ages ago. Its been going now for 17 weeks and ive thoroughly enjoyed doing it. From designing it, doing the plans,drawings, groundwork, joinery,roofing, bit of scaffolding, blockwork and other stuff. My mate said realistically how much have you saved doing it yourself, a couple of grand perhaps? I said its nothing to do with money its some thing i wanted to do and get some self satisfaction knowing ive been doing it myself (help from family members)
Im no builder,architect,joiner,roofer but fairly happy with what ive achieved so far.
