yeah I'm an rac patrol aswell and unfortunately is the case.there are rare occasions that the company will send a flatbed straight away but most of the time we have to go out to assess.alot of customers say oh you wont be able to do anything,we turn up and get it sorted.
True there...if you have the time. A long time ago now but when I had my Mexico the float came adrift in the Weber carb. AA man stripped everything down, resoldered the float back on the arm, refitted it all and I was back on my way.
Wasn't so clever when the fibre timing gear stripped on my V6 Cortina - 300 mile AA relay took about 15 hours back then.
