Yes,2wd cosworths all had plain non vented bonnets as standard and they changed when the 4x4 was released.
I'm searching high and low for a plain pre 1990 sapphire bonnet for my genuine 35000 mile 26 year old saph if anybody has 1.
That car could have had any history,stolen recovered with no interior,previously a track car but it looks very very nice and could well be 23000 miles going by the pics.
It's got a few bent panels and I can't see big chunks of filler falling out so it's been looked after if it's 123000 miles.
