I changed the thermostat on mine last year as it was running a bit low. I once noticed that if I lifted off on the motorway going quite quick, the temp would drop dramatically due so much air going through the rad, before the thermostat caught up after a few seconds.
Thanks for your reply. I have been told to just keep and eye on it and see how it progresses. My friend (who is a mechanic) has told me to just keep an eye on it, could be the thermostat or even the gauge having a wobble.

My only concern is that I have about 2500 miles of driving in the next 60 days so fingers crossed. Whats the labour cost for something like this, 2 hours?
