Chaps, fitting a basic-ish cat 1 car alarm - is that doable? Im confident with cars and wiring etc and thought Id be able to save over a £100 fitting charge and fit it myself to a car with no alarm on there at the moment.

Also, if I fit a cat 1 by my self will it be insurance approved?
