I'm running a 17% pulley on mine on the standard I/C. Yeah on the warmest days you might feel it down on power a little but 99% of the time it's fine IMO and for induction I have opened up the 2nd air feed on the standard airbox into the bulkhead (about an hours work and less than a fiver) and fitted a K&N panel filter. Plenty of whine from the charger and more than enough on the induction front the cope with the smaller pulley and the exhaust I fitted.. and I saved myself £500, £400 on the airtech cooler and £100 on the induction. Why not try it without the I/C and if you're not satisfied then fit one later on...

While you're doing that remove, clean and re-seat the bypass valve.. If the butterfly is not seated properly you lose boost and they seem to be a bit hit and miss from the factory. Or you can buy an 'optimised' one for about £85 from 1320 mini..

Other things to look out for are the front top mounts pushing the strut tops up and the front lower control arm bushes.. If it torques steers a lot then chances are it's the lower bushes on their way out.

More details and 'how to' guides for all of this stuff can be found on MiniTorque..

I'm really enjoying driving mine atm. good fun little car..

Little pic of mine..
