Hey, long time since i posted here but i've got a problem recently.
So the old distributor gave up on me last week, sourced another one and found a brand new one!
The seller said i belongs to a mk4 rst, so i installed it and used the same timing as my old distributor.
Just couldn't get it to start.. so i tried max advance and it fired right up!
Used the timing light and even on max advance i only get 8 degrees!!
That's with the vacuum line to the computer connected !
Checked the cambelt timing, spot on.
Can someone tell me what's going on here?
is there a difference between the s1 and s2 distributor as i'm thinking it's an s1 one.
