I drive for around 7-9 hours every day and to be fair don't see that many .

But back to the subject , I feel for that police man. that's had a impact on him and like glenn has pointed out. there not paid anywhere near enough.
Its not like he can go home and say he's had a good day is it ,he has to go home with them visions in his head .
No. Not more cars. More stupid and unfit people = more accidents.
And likewise, I'm on the road daily and do silly miles, and yes I have been a victim of unfit drivers, albeit sober ones
And of course it is terrible for the police dealing with the aftermath of ALL accidents, of which the majority will be caused by sober drivers..and I keep reiterating that to put things into context about the numbers of accidents
But empathy, sympathy etc do nothing to help prevent incompetent people from causing crashes. And that's the bottom line.
