Aint going to argue with you bud too much respect for a fellow Speed merchant. You have your views I have mine. To me £1 is to much to enter totb as it does not have a Topspeed run anymore. To me £300 is cheap to run at Vmax. I believe you run for fun im putting my car out there to set records so money does not come in to it. Ive tried to get another Cossie to enter Vmax for 5 years & this thread proves its a waste of time. I ACCEPT THAT & BOW OUT

TOTB do offer top speed runs, albeit over a standing 1km, the fastest two cars in 2013 achieving 211mph and 210.6mph
Already faster than some achievements over open distance at unlimited Vmax with as many runs as they'd like during the day
And of course I run for fun...I'd like to think that's the main reason any car enthusiast uses their car.
Of course, if you're asking to them enter for the sole purpose of breaking records....what would be the point when you know fine well there is virtually nobody in the Sierra Cosworth scene in the UK who stands a chance of breaking your record ?
So the only reason they'd ever enter...is to run for fun.
And this also assumes those running VMax would actually allow all cars to enter.
If you recall the Thunder Road event a few years back ( appreciate that was not a Vmax run event ) with the hungry cable eating rabbits...among other problems, if it wasnt for yourself speaking out from what I recall they werent even going to let me enter !!
Would have saved me a bloody fortune if I hadnt entered LOL
