Everything else also struggles, add 1000 rpm at the top end and oil pumps, water pumps, cams etc are all stressed.

Engines that need loads of revs to make the power are hard work. If you drive a 330i or 328 BMW then try an e36 m3 it s amazing how hard you have to work to release the extra power.
