Default Gearbox noise proper getting me cheesed off
Hi guys had my escort gearbox put in the car after the restoration and it was supposed to be a good box its turned out another nightmare just like everything else i bought off the same guy on here...

But i had the gearbox sent to TVT in Newcastle whom stripped and rebuilt the box due to a constant type bearing noise its been done and new bearings fitted also they fitted the following bits..

1. New lay shaft
2, drop gear

Ive refitted the gearbox all new oils etc etc after a £475 rebuild and its exactly the same noise on it...

Ive sent both prop shafts into be checked and they are perfect no problems at all there the noise is right under the gear lever area and is there constantly even free wheeling at speed...

all mounts are new etc etc...
