Mines done 293bhp at the flywheel on a st170 bottom end, only mod to bottom end is ARP conrod bolts.

It still isn't a mega cheap option even if you can do it all yourself, a lot of little costs here and there soon add up, things like suitable clutch, all the gaskets and seals, I reckon my engine still stood me at a grand, I did use a brand new head.

Then the op needs management and mapping. Deffo worth him having a look through Karlos's guide though.
