The solder mod to the Tacho is not in place. Only thing I have changed is the Tacho itself as the only one that worked belongs to a mate. So I sourced another 4WD Tacho unit and strangely now the rev counter is cutting out above 4k. I will swap back to my mates Tacho and see if the problem is still there or not.
