Default Sealing decompression plate

I want to use a 1.5mm decomp plate with only 1 gasket between head and plate. Ferriday engineering say this is the best way, and they seal the plate to the block using a high temp sealant. They use alloy plates for this method though.

I can get either a mild steel or a stainless plate for £25 on ebay, but all the listings for stainless plates say to use 2 gaskets.

Can anyone tell me their experience with whatever arrangement they used? And what the sealant is I will need to bond the plate to the block?

2 gaskets sounds like a bad idea to me and I dont want to drop the compression too much as I'm only running 1 bar.

Cheers.
