Draining IB5 Gearbox Oil?
I have a new gearbox for the missus KA as she's lost 2nd (You can feel it grinding on the layshaft but it never slides in).
I'm assuming that the KA uses an IB5?
I want to drain the oil out of the gearbox before I fit it to the car and maybe replace the driveshaft seals.
The gearbox has come with the inner CV joint 'cups' fitted but I can't work out how to slide them out of the gearbox?
My Pugs had a bolt that you ondone 90° and the driveshaft would slide out but this doesn't seem to have anything?
Do I just need to give them a bloody hard pull or am I missing a trick?
If I don't replace the driveshaft seals what's the next best way to drain the gearbox oil?
Bare in mind the gearbox is sat in a garage and not in the car.
Cheers, Bailes.
