If you do change the crank bearings, but want to save fitting a new pump for the complete rebuild:
- take the lid off the oil pump and linish/lap away any wear/scores from the inside of the lid
- check the oil pick-up pipe is clear of debris
- make sure there's gasket between the pick-up pipe and the oil pump

PS Don't fall out of love with the car - every time it comes on boost it'll put a smile on your face
I hope it keeps it going, just need to have a bit of fun in the car to justify all the money I have spent on it, I only ask as I like to do things properly and feels like I'm doing half a job lol

I think I'll do a compression test first to make sure rings are ok, then if they are just change bearings and pump

Thanks I know, I just go and look at the car and I'm in love let alone the coming on boost, I'm just itching, had a tune up booked which I've had to cancel guess that what I get for buying a cosworth lol, somethimes just hard to stay focused when youve spent so much time and money and things keep going wrong.

I've ordered a Protech high flow pump which will be here next week so will then get the sump off, disregard the fresh oil put in and check bearing sizes. On the plus side I found somewhere with 2 x 5L of mobile 1 15/50 so may put that in instead of the Titan Pro S 10/50
