Angry Cosworth almost defeated me... Engine re-built and ready for collection... pics added

So I’ve owned the escort cosworth about a year now and its hardly seen the light of day, losing enthusiasm fast as its problem after problem

As well as doing a few essential mods of my own like wasted spark, hydraulic clutch pedal, new clutch, cams, pulleys etc I’ve found myself putting right all the f**k ups others have done. I had to chisel out the front prop bolts, repaired threads where people insist on tightening bolts as tight as humanly possible… just got it all back together and now have low oil pressure

At the moment it seems the harder I’m trying the harder the car is retaliating and I’m losing the will to live lol…

I’m planning a full re-build in a year or so, so don’t really wanna be doing a full re-build at this stage, as well as not being able to afford it as I’ve spent a packet already and need to try and get some enjoyment out of it instead of it being sat in the garage.

The oil pressure from cold goes to 60 psi (measured on mechanical gauge) then drops off to about 14-16 psi when warm. Oil picks up fine when revving but pressure far too low for my liking. I’m using titan pro s 10/50 oil.
I’m planning on buying a new high pressure pump and new shells, taking sump off and changing with the engine in the car without taking it apart. Obviously if the crank is scored or the shells show signs of being scored by debris then I’ll take it apart.

Just wondered peoples views on doing this, whether it would be ok to do that?
