Yeah what microsoft was trying to enforce was bad...in a way, because it wasnt set out right, but digital has lots of advantages. The only thing i honestly dislike with digital is your then forced to pay top price. Even on xbox live,the digital copys are alot more than the price in shops. Its the wrong way round.lol .There is no costs fot them at all when on a server. Pure profit,yet they charge the earth. now, if they said its going all digital, and games will cost a maximum of £15-20 .......people wouldnt turn on the plans.The whole family share thing sounded great. I wasnt fussed about always online as i always play online. BUT, there needed to be something inplace so that it wouldnt be useless if not plugged in for say....two weeks. They just didnt get their shit together properly before announcing it. Too rushed with not enough thought.
As for sony, everyone seems to think thier innocent. Trust me, they had similar plans, they planned on bundling it with the camera. But they played a good pr game, let microsoft announce first,saw the reaction and changed everything last minute. Scrapped the camera to drop the price( but in doing so deemed the controller tracking light thing useless ) and dropped the drm. The rumours before either console were announced was they would both have drm.
No one would disagree the ps4 raw power is better, But, the xbox is built with multi tasking in mind. The ps3 was more powerful,yet some games looked better on xbox. some are reporting that bf4 looks better on xb1 than ps4. Tbh i couldnt really tell much difference and the comparisons on youtube werent fair as the clip of xb1 was missing shading elements that have since been added apparently.. Also it is now the kinect that sets the two apart. Being every xb1 is bundled with one, developers ARE using it. Infact most of them are coming up with cool ways to incorporate it. Dont get me wrong, i dont want to dance like a fairy infront of the tv, but stuff like leaning, face tracking shouting commands sound great.
Thats one of the problems with these cross platform games.....theres Sooooo much money involved the developers try to sit on the fence trying not to upset sony or microsoft.. Youve got the tit mark ruben leaving bread crumbs but wont spit it out, then you've got people asking dice how they are incorporating kinect into bf4. They try to dodge the question even though its come out that head tracking, leaning and commands have been incorporated into the xb1 version.They dont want to say anything though as it would set it apart from the ps4 version.
The day one release games would be finished a while ago so all they would be doing is tweeking them so they could even look better by the time they are in our hands.
90% of what we read is chinese wispers and geeks getting upset and ranting. wait till we see the final products as im sure no one will be disapointed in what they have bought.
oh, and ive booked a few days off too lol That must make me a geek too.........( a normal geek though) lol
