Might be an idea to see if the housing itself doesn't have a split / crack in it as not much moisture should really get in there.
checked all that out Dal as you could see it was old 100% no doubt, perhaps they forgot to look under the cover , but changed the plugs filters and oil and they were all spot on

heres the engine bay and its spotless
