The thing is they are both essentially small PC's now. They are both x86 architecture which has been around for a long time so the game devs are fully clued up on how both will work. I don't think you will see the same sort of difference over the years as you did on the previous consoles.

I guess to an extent......Im sure things can get poked about to be more efficient. Everything is being rushed ( for both consoles) so there have to be limits. Just look at forza. I read that the forza team were given xbox one deleopment kit alot earlier than other companys and therefore have had more time to play about with it. They have hit the 1080p mark and kept 60fps. It looked stunning in the flesh, and dare i say it, looked better than driveclub. I know you can compare first person shooters to this as they are tottaly different, but what im getting at is they have had more time to tweek and poke at it. Its always going to be differcult for cross platfrom developers though....
Not only do they have a new xbox to deal with, they have a new ps4 too lol. Because the consoles are launching within two weeks of each other which is unheard of ,they have had to rush the games, get them looking as good as each other which cant be easy. They would be under pressure from microsoft and sony to make sure they dont look "worse" than the competition as it could have a damaging effect if there is a BIG difference.

It appears this isnt the case though as they are ver similar so dice have done a good job lol
