I think that an iphone is great, it will do things that you ask of it, however it will do them in a way that apple tell you it will do them.

I prefer to actually be able to use a device and tell it what I want to do and how I want it done. Also, Apple devices won't connect to my Bluetooth handsfree, it won't Bluetooth music to my home stereo, the alarm clock does not go off with the phone either switched off or on silent (I presume it still doesn't), the battery on them lasts about 4 and a half minutes from a full charge, so instead of calling it a mobile, you may as well call it a landline with the amount of time it spends plugged in to the wall.

Not to mention the fucking retards in an apple store. My wife's iphone played up recently, the apple twats in the 'genius bar' () point blank refused to help unless I had an appointment even though they were all sat around spaffing off into the latest handset.

Apple are hands down, world beaters at marketing. Nobody can touch them when it comes to luring the punters in. An iphone is great to get out in front of your mates down the pub, but shit when it comes to actually being a phone.

It's a bit like the Ford / Vauxhall debate really, there's no right and wrong, just different strokes for different folks.
