Best tip is, if you've never made brake pipes before is to always put the nut on the pipe BEFORE you flare it.
I still make this mistake every now and then!! Made a pukka pipe for my Cossie and it was spot on, flared the ends and forgot to put the fittings on!!
Made another one and it was shit!!
