I have had my engine out of an older S2 I had. I basically stripped it from the box then undone the nuts on the cross member for the gear box and lifted it out at an extreme angle with gear box still in situ.

Is an ok way I guess but the pulley toook a large scraping of paint from the inner wing.

What is the easiest way for getting the engine out.
May be worth bearing in mind that I would like to clean up the paint work in the engine bay as is a little grubby.
