i cant see it being a valve if the compressions are good and waggling the ht leads cured it temporary. fuel starvation? dodgy fuel? ive had a 1600 pinto that picked up some dodgy fuel and did exactly the same. stripped the head of it cleaned valves etc put it back together, no change. draining the fuel and refilling might be cheaper and easier than removing the head, even at todays fuel prices.
