Mine took me about 3 hours or maybe even a bit longer, (I didn't rush by any means) i did the water pump too so had to bleed it up etc, I found it a bit awkward keeping the belt on the crank sprocket and getting it round the rest. A third hand was eventually sourced to get the belt on.
The gates kit I fitted came with the self tensioning tensioner so you just pull the pin out.
Worth replacing aux belts while they are off too danny.
