Yes i have sliders on the XR3 but after having that for 10 years+ i know better on the mk4 rwd, I kept glass on mechanical winders but fitted lightweight rear sections..
The rear screen has a window louver that covers the holes on both cars so that water does not get in (That much anyway). On the XR3 i cut the holes before i had the window louver. So dont match up as good as i would like. However on the Mk4 i had the louver first so made sure that the holes are covered nicely this time.

The sliders let water in and also down the side, this is a little annoying if you have no inner skin on the doors like both of mine.

only ones i could find on photofukit. Not on my computer at mo.


You need to look closely once the louver is fitted.
