Default escort van - intercooled td conversion - need help!

Hi all, I've got an escort van 55 1.8 non turbo diesel and an escort car with the turbo - intercooled engine.

I want to put the car engine, loom and ECU in the van - and use the van gearbox and subframe.

I know the td gearbox box and subframe are different from the non turbo van. And I know I can physically mate the engine I want to the gearbox I want without issue.

What I want to know is this:

I have read that the intercooled ECU takes a feed from a crank sensor and I think this is mounted on the flywheel, not the crank pulley?

So will the non turbo box (IB5) take the crank sensor from a turbo box (MTX)?

Thanks in advance!
