Don't feel so bad as I was slamming the brakes on from 90+ hopefully they allow me to do the course as I've never had any points, but have done the hand held device course 2 years ago for talking on my phone while stationery in traffic.
Almost all small vans now fall over the excess of 2000kgs GVW restricted limits. ( at least new ones do, some older ones are still ok )
They are another complete and utter disgrace. A small empty van weighing say 1500kgs has a tougher limit imposed on it that some dopey bitch in a 3 ton range rover fixing her makeup in the mirror whilst driving.

The people that make up and enforce these ridiculous rules really need to jump off a cliff or something.
