Don't feel so bad as I was slamming the brakes on from 90+ hopefully they allow me to do the course as I've never had any points, but have done the hand held device course 2 years ago for talking on my phone while stationery in traffic.
Hugely unlikely they'll let you go on a course for 10mph over. It's usually for less than 5mph. I had to do one for 32 in a 30!!!
