Like GL, L, LX, Ghia ect.

My new door for my Escort came today and the door card is diffrent and has no trim on so I know it's off a diffrent spec car. But I was thinking. Out of the diffrent specs, which were the top of the range an which were bottom? And what did the higher spec cars have what the lower ones didn't?
