Its a joke, as said, the police are powerless, they wont give chase as the dumb shits will take out anything in their path trying to get away, even if caught they are jobless scum with nothing to take off them and with judges reluctant to send anyone to prison they can dish out no form of punishment.

Personally i would stop benefits they claim, or if they live with parents and are under 18, stop the parents benefits, hit them where it hurts and show them there is a consiquence for their actions and force parents to take a firmer line with their kids. Give them prison sentences of a decent length so when they do decide to go on the rob for fun or for food rather than get out to work, they get locked up.

Quit with the cushy prisons, get it back to a punishment. I would rather pay for them to be inside than pay for them to have a stream of benefits and be free to do as they please.

You will always get determined life long criminals but you can be sure that it would put a stop to the hangers on who encourage it. You would also see parents starting to get a bit tougher when they have their free money stopped because their kids have been out joyriding.

As for the police, funny isn't it, give them powers to look for threats to the country on line and what do they do with it...
