IMO the police should NEVER back down from a chase regardless of how dangerous it is.
If you have a policy of backing down, then criminals just up thier game above your backdown threshold so they know they can escape.
if there is no backdown then eventually some of them will learn they cant get away. Also hopefully a few more will die in crashes.
Why is it the scum cunt joyriders in 99% of cases have a massive smash that would kill most yet walk away uninjured and are able to run off?
