[quote=vaughant;6125763]Ok,this could actually be the millionth time I've posted this!!!

Cat c DOES NOT MEAN ITS BEEN HIT ANY WORSE THAN A CAT D!!

It's entirely up to the assessor which cat it goes in,it could have had a scratch down the side could be a cat c but a cat d could have a bent shell or every panel kicked and smashed in its irrelevant.

Cat c is just an indicator not a conclusive set of points like say needing jigging, cat c,needing new rear 1/4,cat c,needs new screen, cat d honestly it's not down to any particular criteria, which in some ways I disagree with but that's that sadly.

Also cat c cars do NOT NECCESSARILY need a VIC check,vosa/dvla decide that (which you can check on the dvla website)and no van needs a VIC check either which again I find odd as a van could be stolen or rung as much as a car!!!!

Sorry for the rant!!!!
You are 100% right i worked for ford acciendent repair for four years..its is down to the mood of the assesor on the day...cat c does not bother me i have jigged and repaired some stuff that should of never been repaired but its down to the insurance company...
