I ended up buying an E36 convertible as another toy, plan is to keep that until spring and move on to another project, but lately I've been looking at E30 325's. It's difficult to get an estate in reasonable condition and a saph thats not totally buggered mechanically for reasonable money when I want to do it on a budget, after it's built thar car won't be worth a whole lot so i'm not going to go mad financing it.

Yeah I was familiar with that silver one, it was owned by a guy called Sean, then he sold it to Ben. As far as i was aware it got in a really rough state and had a minor prang, then it was broken and scrapped many moons ago.
