Wrong, the mot is completely valid, its just insurance companies generally "recommend" you get ANY car thats been written off (c or d ) re-mot'ed but its most definately not invalid.

People keep getting confused with cat c and d, it has NOTHING to do with damage severity, only financial costraints at best but more often than not simply down to the assessor checking it.

Not all cat c's require a VIC test, cat c vans don't full stop.

Believe me, I was in the accident damage trade.
