A (former) friend assured me the 2.2 in my Turbo 1992 Probe Gt was U.S.-manufactured. I have never owned a Japanese car (for personal reasons) until now. I do like the features and the power seems enough for an econo-driver. I'm converting to a travel shuttle (no back seat, thus, "sleeping quarters," etc.) and may make into an open car as friends & I did with the then-new Fox-stangs for Galpin, Williams and other Ford dealers. Would appreciate any input/tips. BTW am new here. Also own a '70 Continental and two MK IIIs, plan to get back my 67 'Stang F/B and ,62 T-Bird. Thanx, BC
