If it's already a Tommy engine, either 1 he built from scratch or one he previously mapped then why not get him over to do it, he travels a lot further than Ireland to map /set up engines in cars, and i know he does lots of wrc engines still as when i went down his the week before last there was at least 4 in the build room sealed up ready to go out the door. obviously his time is going to cost but that is the same for anyone,
Plus people will say i am biased as i always use him as he is 10 minutes from my house but it seems every other wrc engine you see in car or stand alone for sale is either built or mapped by him
i have spoken to a very good wrc engine builder this week that knows tommy well, he told me that , him self, tommy or harvey could give me what i am after.
after a chat with him and also talks with dominic we reacon marc a 2nd had engine rebuilt will be my cheep"st way for me. and then have it re built.
lots of wrc parts are hard to get hold of now is a problem .
i would like a ex late spec mountune engine and i have seen a few for sale, mt has one at the moment on his web site. and as you say lots are mapped by tommy field
i no jim says a mountune engine has a number on rocker cover but its not the first time a well knowen brake"er from essex has changed rockers around lol
thanks steven
