I was interested in a car last month, guy wanted £1995, it only had 2 months tax and test and other examples in similar condition, history and mileage but with full if not long MOT and more tax were going for around the £1400 - £1600 mark. Told the seller this and he wouldnt budge. So i bid £1600 and then at the last minute i got outbid. Then the seller emailed me literally half hour later saying the winning bidder doesnt want it but if im interested i can have it for £1895. Clearly someone he knew bumped that up hoping it would go higher and it didn't. Too much greed on ebay these days.
