Firstly, look on the unit and see what Clifford it is.
If it is a Concept 50 or 50X, carefully remove it and bin it. If it has Sense & Tell, carefully remove it and put it on eBay.
If it is a Concept 300 (or Comeback 300 as they are known in the trade), VERY carefully remove it and crush it to death.
Anything else, let me know and I can probably sort out the coding, options, etc... for you as I used to install these and Toad alarms back when the G4 range was new.
As said above, most of the problems are down to poor installers. My 4x4 Saff has the complete catalogue fitted pretty much and never so much as peeps out of turn, always opens and shuts for me and does exactly what it says on the tin. I have seen installers fit the equivalent of mine in about a day, I took 3 days to fit it properly, and so that nothing looks out of place.
At the same time, I have seen installers fit other Cat 1 alarms in 30 minutes (all connections easy to get at obviously), and have even seen a Cat 1 alarm on a MK6 RS2000 where everything was attached to the fusebox and even the main power was just pushed under a relay connection. Strangely, that alarm was always playing up until I ripped it out and fitted it properly for him.
