Default Putting a value on cars you sell..?

ok, ive been browsing auto trader, piston heads and ebay etc for a while now as i keep thinking about selling my puma to buy a pickup truck.

but some of the ads you see are a fucking joke! where do these people get their prices from?

mine is on a 52 plate with just under 62k miles, i got it on 54k in feb last year, ok its not the mintest one about but imo its not too bad. there are a few things that would make it better but i cant justify spending any cash on it as i wont see it back.

for instance there is one on ebay with 80k miles, but its a 1 owner for 2k...

trade in value is something like £700 and i paid a lot more for it than that, so would need to sell privatly, but are things selling at the mo?

and if i did put it up, would it be a good idea to mention it has a brake upgrade of mondeo callipers and ST170 discs, or would that put people off?

ideally for less hastle id just trade it in, but as said, id get fuck all for it...

ps this really isnt a for sale ad as im not in the position at the mo to get a truck!

just asking for people opinions!
