right guys ive a problem with 3 door cossie ,when it gets up to temp say warm enough for fans to cut in engine starts to backfire and splutter. ive changed water temp sensor ,air temp sensor,crank sensor ,phase sensor,leads plugs etc.i put a strobe light on car tonight and found that when i rev car slightly timing moves a couple of degrees which is fine but when i rev car timing jumps a couple of inches every few seconds.what can be causing this to happen.
