Default cossie running issues

right guys ive a problem with 3 door cossie ,when it gets up to temp say warm enough for fans to cut in engine starts to backfire and splutter. ive changed water temp sensor ,air temp sensor, crank sensor ,phase sensor, leads plugs etc.i put a strobe light on car tonight and found that when i rev car slightly timing moves a couple of degrees which is fine but when i rev car timing jumps a couple of inches every few seconds.what can be causing this to happen.

set gaps on phase sensor.crank sensor is fixed has no adjustment i think.problem only happens if car gets warm .if your on open road driving fairly hard it is no problem but if you get caught in traffic or leave to tick over problem starts

Crank sensor is adjustable. Need to use feeler gauge and if I remember correctly it is 0.5.

as above .6mm but typically these running problems are as a result of a faulty water temp sensor .blue sensor at back of head

I was just about to propose this. I had 0.7mm gap on Bosch plugs, then I changed 0.4mm Densos and it runs perfectly. With Bosch plugs on wrong gap it stuttered on full boost and backfired as yours.
