I did. I work on an ROV support ship now. Same job, no sir shite, no guns, less machinery and nearly double the money
Oh, and instead of 5 or 6 months away at sea, I now do 4 weeks. Then have 4 weeks off. So in reality, I work half the year.
And I don't have to pay tax.
Oh, or national insurance.
I think I've done no bad tbh
