Although I have mentioned it would be suitable for mk1/2 escort use, please bear in mind that it is currently in a FWD car still so would need different sump and exhaust manifold or these ones modifying if you want to run it in a rwd car.
XE engine with 285 cams on bike bodies
3,000 miles old 285 piper BILLET cams (these are 500 quid a pair)
Steel rods, pocketed early XE (forged/pressure cast) XE pistons recent set of rings and stem seals but still manages the usual XE puff of smoke if you back off at very high rpm, pulls like a train all over the rev range, can be test driven in the car. (not a coscast head but no porous issues)

All new gaskets and seals etc during rebuild

Bare engine - 550
(this is based on the secondhand value of the rods and cams and head studs basically so you get the all the standard bits free)
Engine with cams and bike throttle bodies and management (james murray megasquirt, adapted to fit standard loom but the adaptor could do with tidying up TBH) - 850
As above but also with the ashley exhaust manifold (small dent in one pipe to give clearance on the ARB) - 975
Bike bodies (gixxer ones IIRC, whatever they are it works great!) on what I am told is a bogg brothers manifold (I got with car so dont know history) and management seperately - 400
ashley exhaust manifold - 175
Bike bodies and inlet manifold without management - 275
