I managed to removed a head bolt from a friends car that he rounded off (the muppet!) via welding a nut over the top. It took two goes, as the bolt was very tight, and the weld gave way on the first attempt, but i managed to find a huge nut (size escapes me now) that fitted clean over the head of the damaged one, and that held firm
