Wo wo, who said standard rods? NOT me, standard crank only. We have just done gaz's engine 635bhp on std polish beam rods and would not take it past 7750. That's all they're good for IMHO.

This chap (Jasu) seems to think you can take a standard bottom end to to 9200rpm and 710bhp. What rods have you used on the above engine?
Mine's on a standard crank, nothing wrong with it, would'nt dream of continually revving it over 8500 though. Agree the standard rods are reaching their limit at 7500 rpm
