Had to fit new clamp for backbox, as the old one snapped off. the old exhaust was really easy to get off as it had not been on the car long:

Found the culprit for the heater not blowing on number 3! the burning smell that I kept having was not the underseal baking on the exhaust after all....

The connector was was also shot so I had to get a resistor wit the pug attached, managed to get this bargain for £6 including post....

Not sure what the cause was, once fitted ran it up for a while on all settings and the wires and connector didn't get hot. So I can only guess the wires or connector on the old one got pulled when removing the dash.
