It's the EGT gauge (or complete kit actually) that is quite expensive, about 200 to 250 pounds. Seems a bit much as I 'm not even sure whether it's needed next to the AFR gauge.
It will be the high temp sensor your paying for! but ive never really got egt gauges as unless you mount the sensor in the manifold next to the head its more down pipe exhaust gases your getting a temp for
