Default New fuel hose... aeroquip? or alternatives?

Im planning on resurrecting my RST, its been tucked up in the garage for a year now and its time to get it back on the road and have some fun.

When i built it i used rubber cotton braided fuel hose as it looked fairly smart, however after numerous fuel leaks i need to sort it out properly.

Question is, do i go aeroquip/goodridge braided fuel lines? or just get some good quality rubber fuel line?

Also, I would quite like to keep the metal fuel lines that run under the car as standard, is there a compression fitting or similar designed to work with metal lines and the braided line? Or should I just pay for another 3/4 meters of hose..... (its not cheap gear is it!)

What do folks do with the fuel reg, just use a jubilee clip or is there an alternative for use with a proper union?

Last question (for now!) how much have people spent on this? All the fittings from the fuel pump to the fuel reg/rail...

Cheers
