It could do... the last one I saw would only rev to 3k rpm, unless code was cleared.
If you have a fuel pressure error in there too, that could cause it as well.
Mine only revs to 3k when the light is on. They haven't told me about any other codes when I had the test done yesterday. I'll change the plugs and see how it goes. I'm guessing it's an easy swap ?
